A bit of a meta note: the comments on that blog are a refreshingly utopian snippet of the best parts of the internet. Deep discussion about the work, including original authors of an earlier publication adding context is such a great way to share and advance knowledge.
Generally speaking, Scott Aaronson has been really fun to listen to on variety of topics. I would suggest listening a few recent podcast he appeared on youtube. He has this really nice combination of no-bullshit and rigorous attitude.
Though I would suggest avoiding his political blog posts. It's not even that I disagree with him (though of course I do in some areas), it's just that they are a real sad read.
